OpenSymmetry appoints Director of Business Development EMEA

London, U.K., July 24, 2008 — OpenSymmetry, an independent leader in highly specialised consulting for Sales Performance Management (SPM), today announced the appointment of John Stuart as Director of Business Development EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). He will be responsible for driving the development of OpenSymmetry’s SPM consulting business in the European marketplace following the company’s exceptional growth in the US and Europe.

John Stuart brings to OpenSymmetry considerable experience in growing businesses by clearly focusing their sales strategies, market positioning, messaging and communications.

A former entrepreneur himself, John has worked in the telecommunications and professional services market for nearly 15 years. Recently returned to Europe after a long spell in Asia Pacific, John has held director level positions in some of the region’s largest and fastest growing technology and communication companies.  Roles include Director of Small Business Marketing for Singtel Optus and latterly Country Manager for gotalk, a top 200 private communications provider.

“Sales Performance Management solutions that ensure incentive plans are aligned to business strategy, reduce payment errors and overpayments can help businesses save millions. This market is growing fast as more and more companies are realising the benefits of implementing such a solution. John brings a strong skill set and perspective to our strategy in this market place, and I am sure his experience and determination will be a real asset to driving our business forward.” comments Mark Kemp, Director of Client Services at OpenSymmetry.

John Stuart adds: “OpenSymmetry is the only independent consulting company that’s entirely focused on implementing SPM solutions and helping businesses to manage the design, administration, reporting and modelling of their incentive programmes. We are already working with companies such as Barclays and HSBC and I look forward to helping OpenSymmetry build on the massive growth potential in this particular market.”

Gartner research predicts that sales incentive compensation management software market is growing by at least 15% year over year and that it could save mid-sized firms £65 billion a year in lost sales.
